Summer Weather is Upon Us!
Hello from the Castle!
Summer weather is here, but it’s not full force yet. Thank God! So, we continue to work on a few painting projects and, of course, planting in the yard. Luckily, there are several nurseries nearby and they have great selections to choose from. There’s no better therapy for stress than digging in the dirt and planting something that will grow. We would like to share the grounds around the Castle with our guests, so we plan to work hard to get as much done as possible before winter returns.
Inns of Choice
Our big news for the summer: Castle La Crosse is now part of a select group of inns in the region! Inns of Choice is a group of 11 select properties, all with the same high standards and level of comfort for our guests. We are joining together this year to form Inns of Choice. The group promotes each other through discounts at the other inns of the group. We have fliers that give details on the other properties and a map to help locate all of them in different parts of the area. A discount coupon card is shared with guests so they can plan their next trip. The properties are very diverse: one is located in Door County, and others in Duluth, Galena, and Stillwater! And with summer here, what better time to travel and discover. I want to visit them all! We can learn a lot from each other, as well as promoting the B&B and travel industries. Plan a trip and enjoy the different inns and properties and all they have to offer!
Each of the properties under Inns of Choice has some special significance. For example, Castle La Crosse was named “Most Welcoming B&B in America” for 2019. Another property member of Inns of Choice is the Jail Hill Inn, in Galena, IL. That inn was awarded “Best B&B overall in the U.S.” Congratulations to them! We cannot wait to visit that property and experience their hospitality.
