For your convenience, below are a few details and information to help you plan your stay with us at our La Crosse Bed and Breakfast.

Occupancy: All of our rooms (and rates) are based on Single or Double Occupancy only. Due to health code regulations we cannot and do not accommodate more than two persons to a room.

Castle La Crosse is not an event space: Though we love sharing the Castle with our guests, we are not an event space for weddings, receptions, meetings or other gatherings.

Please contact us directly if your arrival time will be outside the stated window of 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Please be advised before making your reservation that we do not accept arrivals past 10:30pm.

Check out is at 11:00 a.m. Thank you in advance for respecting our check out time. Due to high turnover and incoming reservations we are unable to accommodate departures past 11:00 a.m.

As we prepare your room for arrival, we are closed for check-ins and bag-drops between the hours of 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Guests will only be allowed early check-in when prearranged with the Innkeeper or when they have purchased an Early Check-In when they make their reservations online, in the Amenities sections of the reservations process.

Deposits: A 100% deposit of your total stay will be billed for all single or multiple night(s) booking(s) and will be charged at the time of your reservation/booking. We accept Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Discover. Rates and policies are based on double occupancy only and are subject to change at any time. Guests who purchase a stay on these particular dates forfeit any and all refund(s) when they make their reservation. Guests that need to cancel for one of these dates must call in advance and may be offered a credit towards a future stay at the discretion of the Innkeeper.

It is our primary desire and goal to have our guests join us as scheduled, however cancellations greatly affect a small B&B like ours. Castle La Crosse is low-inventory property and unlike most hotels, we do not over book our room inventory, nor have a high volume of rooms to offer like a hotel. When we guarantee an accommodation we enter into a contract with our guests, and your room will not be booked to another party. We remove that room from our available inventory and thus lose the opportunity to sell it to others and guaranteeing you the particular room of your choice; that is why is is important for the guarantee to be honored both ways. Because we strictly adhere to our policy, we strongly recommend travel insurance for the unexpected life events(illness, death, accident and other causes).

Third Party Gift Certificates: WE MUST BE ADVISED OF GIFT CERTIFICATE USE PRIOR TO BOOKING YOUR STAY.

WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT ONE (1) GIFT CERTIFICATE of any kind. Multiple certificates cannot be used per stay. Gift certificates are valid for a Room Stay only and cannot be applied toward the purchase of merchandise or package items.

Castle La Crosse Gift Certificates: Our reservation system automatically bills your credit card when booking online, therefore WE MUST BE ADVISED OF GIFT CERTIFICATE USE PRIOR TO BOOKING YOUR STAY ONLINE. Please CALL US to make your reservation when using a gift certificate any kind. The entire balance of the gift certificate will be applied at the time of booking. Any booking made online when a gift certificate is to be applied will be assessed a minimum fee of $7.50 to process any refunds or credits to a credit card. Gift certificates are valid for use on a room stay only and cannot be used toward the purchase of merchandise or package discounts. Only one (1) gift certificate may be applied or used per stay. Rate and/or room discounts, special packages or specials will not be applied or available when a gift certificate of any type is used under any circumstances. This includes mid-week specials or other advertised specials/packages. Restrictions are noted on the certificate. Use of a gift certificate must be advised at the time of the booking, and a two night minimum stay may be required based on occupancy and date of reservation. Innkeeper reserves the right to refuse a gift certificate for any reason they may find valid, including expiring certificates that are no longer valid.

BLACK OUT DATES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: The week following Christmas through New Year’s Eve (12/26-1/1), Valentine’s Day, President’s Day Weekend, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day or any special event weekend. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. Any fees such as cancellation or re-booking, etc. will be deducted from the original amount of the certificate if necessary. Gift Certificates cannot be transferred to another party if the recipient is unable or unwilling to use the certificate. Lost or stolen gift certificates will not be replaced.

Quiet Season and High Season: We are somewhat flexible on our two-night weekend stay policy during our Quiet Season; please inquire – some restrictions may apply. Holidays and special events, as well as gift certificate usage, are exceptions and will require a two night weekend stay. Holidays and special event days will be charged at the weekend rate, and may require a minimum two-night stay. Candles: As required by law and fire code, and for the safety and security of all of our guests, we are unable to allow the use of open flames such as candles, etc.

Oils/Lotions: Use of any oils that contain Grapeseed Oil are not allowed. We have discovered that this type of oil causes PERMANENT damage to linens.
